About our Drums

All of our Djembes and Dunduns are handcrafted by master carvers in Africa.

They are a carved solid piece of wood, have a comfortable bearing edge, and are treated with a Karite (pure Shea butter) finish, enhancing the beauty of the wood, and protecting against cracking and drying out.

Each drum has individually sized rings to ensure a perfect fit.

We use untreated African goatskins for the heads.

This attention to detail, along with our non-stretch rope, allows us to get the vertical ropes extremely tight - giving you that great African sound you are looking for.
